Furina and Neuvillette spend the last week of summer vacation at the beach. They are instantly attracted to each other but don't bite until the very last day. Because grad school is going to make them too busy to keep in touch, they don't pursue anything more. Thankfully, they're classmates.
Nix, Odile, and Lilyca are clutch mates born days apart from each other. All of them did not have a human form upon birth and only gained the ability to shift between human and dragon once they were about a year old (although they weren't able to control it very well then). All of them are able to wield the power of hydro without a vision. Lilyca is the only one with a vision so her dad can keep an eye on her while she travels the continent. They are not identical triplets.As children, Nix liked to play with Odile while Lilyca always made sure that they were all safe. Odile feels bad that Lilyca is always worrying so she and Nix try to get her to loosen up a lot. The two do love their baby sister very much.All sisters are well versed in the law which is very helpful...Nix
Or Nixie to her sisters. An engineer at the Fontaine Research Institute who is very passionate about water. To her, being able to keep the waters of Fontaine clean is her self-proclaimed duty as the daughter of the Hydro Sovereign and (former) Hydro Archon, thus she takes it very seriously. As a daddy's girl, she knows that she can guilt trip Neuvillette by using the loopholes in the justice system to get funding (from him, privately) or create laws based on her findings. The public tend to overlook her methods as they are technically legal and for the good of the people.
She is results-oriented and tries to stretch the law just short of being illegal. A laid back individual who is very blunt and good at arguments. Just don't get on her bad side, she's very good at manipulation when she wants to be.
Her right eye is sensitive to light but can see very well in the dark. Nix will often be found in her lab without shoes (or most of her uniform). Her webbed feet help propel her through the water making her the best swimmer of the three. She is also the most sensitive to the water.

A private investigator who mostly deals with special, or"magical", cases. As a sickly child, she was often attended to personally by Sigewinne (aka she was forced to by Neuvillette since he trusts her the most). Being in the prison environment sparked her interest in crimes and mysteries while also making her used to gore and violence. Odile was babied and kept at home so she desires independence and adventure which her sisters provided by sneaking her out often.
When she was a kid and stuck at home, she enjoyed playing detective games. Furina would create complicated scenarios for her to solve (which would sometimes be from her own work). Later on Furina likes to double check the plot of her scripts with Odile as she can point out any bad plot holes and logic.
She is not as results-driven as her older sister and tends to enjoy the chase as it makes her feel alive. If a case doesn't seem exciting, she won't take it, but she'll sometimes get forced to by her father.
In place of her missing leg is a prosthetic made entirely of hydro. She also has very sharp teeth, the longest tongue, and surprisingly a tail (or fins?). She thinks Melusine food tastes just fine and prefers very strong foods whether they are savory, sweet, or spicy.

Despite being the youngest of the triplets, she is the biggest worrywart due to her sisters always tempting death (due to rough play or poor constitution). She hated seeing her mom fuss all the time so always asked doctors who saw her sisters a lot of questions which sparked her interest in solving medical mysteries and helping others. She became a travelling doctor because she needed a break away from her sisters.
Lilyca loves learning and using her knowledge to solve problems... but sometimes her methods are a bit unorthodox and ethically questionable. There is a reason why she doesn't work at a hospital.
Her arms are covered with scales and on her head are two horns like her father. It seems that her dark circles will never go away. She started wearing cuter clothes as a way to give her mom something calming to look at (and for travelling), otherwise she prefers less and lighter clothes due to her scales. Lilyca also has to file her nails down very often for work.

Twins Cliona and Cleo are Neuvillette and Furina's second batch of kids. Unlike their older sisters, the two of them look less human and are more eccentric. Maybe it's because their parents procreated at a very specific time... But they're loved the same way. To the family, they are normal; to others, they definitely stand out from all of their siblings.As kids, the two of them were together a lot, often with Cleo being Clio's assistant. The two gradually became less dependent on each other but Cleo can still be seen lending a hand before and during Clio's concerts. He's still very supportive of her after all.
Cliona
A songstress who takes on the form of a dragon-oceanid hybrid most of the time. Cliona, or Clio, is known for her underwater concerts where her ethereal, inhuman voice shines through. She can often be found locked in her room, and later on her own villa, composing songs and rehearsing with her butler. Growing up she spent a lot of time with her twin brother as her older sisters had already moved out.
Clio is a very proud and high maintenance individual, often causing others to mistake her for someone who is arrogant and haughty. Instead of seeing herself above others, it's more accurate to say that she sees herself as someone who can't be grouped together with the rest of the population, so she cannot be compared fairly to them. When she finally has time to relax from her work, Clio can feel very lonely especially after her twin became less attached to her. Thankfully she found a butler to take care of all of her needs whether it be managing her household or providing her with companionship (including the intimate kind). Her butler helps her live life outside of her work as well which earned them the approval of Furina and Neuvillette. They're not married though...

A laid back individual that always wants to try new things (or just gets tired of them easily, who knows). Cleo is the jack of all trades, "master" of none. In truth, he's quite talented due to his biology, but it's because of this unfair advantage that he will refrain from anything competitive. He will only stay until he is either bored or is no longer urgently needed since he does believe in helping where he can— that is, if he's available, which he thankfully often is.
Unlike his sister, who tends to stay in one form, Cleo will change his appearance often. He tends to go with the flow and do whatever he feels like doing (without hurting innocent people of course).
Cleo can appear to be apathetic, and sometimes he is but not always. He does feel emotions such as sadness and grief, it just doesn't show up very well on his face which others describe to be in a constant state of "content."
Cleo loves his twin and used to be her assistant until he got bored and saw that she was getting too dependent, using him as an excuse to never go outside and try new things.
